Privacy policy
Last updated 3 November 2026
This policy covers the Inkborne Tales website (inkbornetales.co.uk) and Inkborne Studio, the in-house app we use to make our films and post them to our YouTube channel. Inkborne Tales is run by Omnexa OPIC ("we", "us").
This website
The website uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and has no forms. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes basic request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site, under its own privacy policy.
Inkborne Studio and YouTube API Services
Inkborne Studio uses YouTube API Services to upload videos to the Inkborne Tales channel and to confirm which channel it is connected to. It only ever connects to our own channel; it is not available to the public and does not access anyone else's YouTube account.
By using Inkborne Studio you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
With the permissions we grant it, Inkborne Studio:
- accesses our own channel's basic details (its name and ID), to confirm it is posting to the right channel;
- uses the upload permission only to publish our own finished films, with their titles, descriptions and tags;
- stores the sign-in token Google issues, and the IDs of the videos it uploads, on our own computer only, in files only we can read;
- shares none of this with anyone. Nothing obtained from YouTube is sold, used for advertising or passed to third parties.
Inkborne Studio does not read, collect or store viewers' data, comments, watch history or any other user's information.
Revoking access
Access granted to Inkborne Studio can be revoked at any time from Google's third-party app permissions page. When access is revoked, or on request, we delete the stored sign-in token within 7 days.
Emails to us
If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply, and keep them no longer than needed for that.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
